Lately the posts here have been more idea-based than anything else, this one is not; rather it’s plugging two Toronto-area events.

The first is happening tonight and it’s the first Online News Association event in Toronto (and perhaps Canada). Hosted by Jonathan Dube (CBC.ca), Angus Frame (globeandmail.com), and Anjali Kapoor (Yahoo! Canada), it’s a rare chance for the online journalism industry in Toronto to all meet-up. The gathering will be at the horribly inaccessible Charlotte Room at 19 Charlotte Street tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The second event is a TorCamp event. This time it’s a design slam (a.k.a., TorCampDesignSlam 1.0, a.k.a., SlamCamp) hosted at Navantis at 21 Randolph Ave. and co-ordinated by Bryce Johnson and Matthew Milan. Sign-up now — the TorCamp events are always an incredible experience.
