How do I remove the scrollbars?

Before you start, you better have a good reason to do so—disabling scrollbars creates a lot of usability problems and can confuse users. Assuming it’s being done for a good cause, there are a few ways to accomplish this, but none are fool-proof.

Removing scrollbars from frames is easy, just insert this attribute into the opening frame element:

scrolling="no"

Removing them from a full browser window is a bit more tricky. One option is to open the window in JavaScript without activating the scrollbars:

window.open(this.href,'newWindow','scrollbars=no');

Another option which only works in a few browers (Windows-versions of Internet Explorer from at least version 5 up and Geck0-based browsers) is to declare this CSS rule:
